"Did it Hurt" is a video installation exploring ideas of isolation, masculinity, detachment, and irreconcilable desire. In it a nude man endlessly delivers pickup lines to a light bulb oblivious to the potential spectators around him. Nothing is really ever said in this piece leading focus to the in-between spaces and slippages of his delivery. What's the object of his desire? And what are the internal or external forces that keep him locked in place?
